A five-year-old girl has entered end of life care after suffering brain damage when she was choked by a swing in a freak accident.
Aurora Masters, of Fort Collins in the US state of Colorado, became entangled in her garden swing after going down a small plastic slide she’d moved closer to it.
Family friends launched a Gofundme to help with her treatment costs which has raised more than £17,000 ($22,000).
But in a heartbreaking update on Saturday, organiser Brenda Kennedy revealed dad Tom and mum Krystal “had made the difficult decision to transition Aurora to end-of-life care and organ donation”.
The update said a recent MRI scan showed swelling in her brain is “significant”.

The full statement – released on behalf of her parents – referenced the Northern Lights visible in parts of North America and the UK over the weekend.
It said: “We had some tests done today to see where we are. Aurora was without oxygen and that caused her brain to swell.
“An MRI today confirmed that the swelling was significant enough that it will not go down and we have made the difficult decision to transition Aurora to end-of-life care and organ donation.
“At this time, we are looking into options to make her transition as easy as possible for her.
