The resource hub is a free comprehensive place to keep the faith community updated and equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
BOULDER, Colo. — Gloo, a leading provider of technology solutions for the Christian faith community, is pleased to announce the launch of the AI & the Church Hub, a comprehensive and centralized place where church leaders can stay informed about the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and its responsible use in ministry. The Hub is available for free on the Gloo platform.
“Artificial intelligence is worth thoughtful exploration from the faith community,” said Ed Stetzer, a major curator and contributor to the Hub. “It’s a tool with tremendous upside potential for the Church, and as faith leaders, we have to be prepared to use this powerful new resource for Kingdom purposes. The AI & the Church Hub is a front door for all leaders to find the knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving AI landscape well.”
The AI & the Church Hub provides access to the latest news, curated articles, new tools specifically designed for churches, a list of upcoming events, and the findings of a groundbreaking AI & the Church Survey. The survey is designed to gauge church leaders’ views and uses of artificial intelligence, and the findings will be shared in late Summer 2023. This and other resources in the Hub will be regularly updated with contributions from a wide spectrum of thought leaders across the faith community.
“All over the faith ecosystem, we’re seeing powerful thought leadership and technologies coming into existence around AI and leaders need more ways to stay updated and informed,” said Steele Billings, Head of Gloo Exchange and AI Initiatives at Gloo. “Gloo is committed to helping the Church approach new technology that supports, but doesn’t replace, the primacy of relationship as the center of all ministry. Both the Hub and the findings from the AI & the Church Survey are intended to spark meaningful discussions and content among church publishers and technology creators around AI.”
Collaborators from technology, content, research, ministry, and funding are contributing to the AI & the Church Hub, ensuring the whole Church benefits from this collaborative offering from Gloo. These partners include Barna Group, YouVersion, One Hope, Kenny Jahng, Carey Nieuwhof, Christianity Today, AI and Faith, and more. Their contributions ensure the Hub and survey encompass a diverse range of perspectives and insights.
“As this new chapter of generative AI unfolds in 2023 and beyond at such high velocity, church leaders can benefit from a central place to go to for helpful updates and learning,” said Kenny Jahng, contributing partner and curator of the Hub. “This initiative is a significant stride in addressing the core need for comprehensive resources that empower and serve the church leader community.”
Church leaders can get full access to all of the Hub resources to better help them stay informed. By providing this centralized location for AI resources and bringing voices across the faith community together, Gloo aims to help church leaders navigate the emergence of AI, align it with their faith and harness its potential for the greater good.
