Gov Bago Speaks On Marriage Of Babangida Aliyu’s Son, Muawiyya

Niger State Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago was among the eminent Nigerians that attended the Wedding Fatiha of Muawiyya Babangida Aliyu, the son of the former governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and Zainab Shehu.

The wedding Fatiha took place at Al-Noor Mosque, Ibrahim Babangida Way, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The Islamic Scholar, Professor Isah Ali Ibrahim Pantami who conducted the marital rites enjoined the couple to maintain a healthy marriage in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and Hadith.

Speaking to journalists after the wedding Fatiha, Governor Umaru Bago encouraged the new couple to be patient in their marriage life as it is one of the ingredients to a successful marriage life .

He also prayed that God will bless their union and make it a successful one.

“I encourage them to be patient. Marriage is all about being patient and persevering. I pray for them to have a blissful marriage and for Allah to bless them”, he said.

Father of the groom, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, advised the couple not to allow third party in their union.

“Don’t get other people involved in your marriage. The moment you are married, no more parental reporting”, he advised.

The immediate past governor of Niger State and Senator representing Niger North, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello also wished the couple “a happy married life and healthy children”.

Other dignitaries at the wedding Fatiha were some former State governors, former Ministers, lawmaker representing Niger East, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, former Deputy Governors of Niger state, Niger State government officials, APC stalwarts and traditional rulers among others.
