Following Two Popular ‘Taste Tests,’ the Celebrated Regional Brand Unveils the Latest in Its Menu’s Evolution
Nationally recognized and regionally revered, the brand keeps dreaming up and delivering fresh culinary creations for its new and tenured fans with it’s limited time only “Features” menu, now in its third iteration.
Never trendy while always on-trend, Hickory Tavern is tripling down with new summer offerings and CEO Mark Eason feels they will put plate to palate as only Hickory Tavern can: “We are really having fun with food. Our guests are our barometer and they have been giving us a resounding two thumbs up. We are committed to enhancing our daily menu with seasonal inspirations and then let them tell us how we are doing.”
New on the menu, loosen your belt:
Shred Heads — a Hickory Tavern fan favorite, back by popular demand: flash fired potato bites with crispy bacon and cheese, topped with scallions and served with chili garlic aioli dipping sauce, $7.99
Steakhouse Salad — blackened ribeye served over mixed greens and romaine lettuce, tomatoes, candied walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, $20.49
Build Your Own Dog– all beef hot dog made and personalized to order, served with one standard side, $10.99; choice of toppings include:
Chili
Coleslaw
sauerkraut red onion
sweet pickle relish spicy brown
mustard
shredded cheddar jack cheese
Margarita Chicken: citrus marinated chicken served with seasoned black beans & rice, topped with tomatoes and cilantro, $15.99
Cucumber and Onion Salad Side Dish, $3.99
Grandma’s Blueberry Crunch: fresh blueberries and pineapple, baked with a crunchy topping, served with vanilla ice cream $7.25
Hickory Tavern’s Regional Chef Steven Augustine shares his unique take on the ever-changing Features Menu: “Our report card boils down to two things: empty plates and smiles and we are seeing a lot of both lately and are expecting the same starting tomorrow. I mean who doesn’t get excited about a customized, personalized hot dog, for example, all summer long? If Joey Chestnut ever makes it to the Carolinas, all hot dogs are on us.”
Concludes Hickory Tavern’s marketing head Kylie Stedem, “Our ‘Features’ initiative just keeps getting better. Guest feedback has been positive and that is always our goal. I mean C’mon, just look at that Blueberry Crunch dessert. High five, Grandma!”
Hickory Tavern eagerly invites its cherished friends and neighbors, both familiar faces and new acquaintances, to embark on this culinary adventure with the celebrated brand.
