Hill back in training after recovering from leg injury

Reigning world under-20 sprint hurdles champion Kerrica Hill says she’s back in training, having almost fully recovered from the injury which resulted in a premature end to her 2023  season. Hill was forced to end her season in June after suffering a leg injury at the Racers Grand Prix.

The former Hydel High School standout who set a championship record of 12.77 seconds to win the 100 metre hurdles at the World Under-20 Championships in Cali, Colombia in 2022, also holds the Jamaican youth-best of 12.71 seconds for the event.

However, she says she’s now fully focused on accomplishing at the senior level, including making her first Olympic team in 2024.

Still only 18 years old, Hill joined the professional ranks in the 2023 season, moving to the Elite Performance Track Club.
