“His Death Reported As Suicide While Medical Team Was Trying To Revive Him” – Former Konga CEO’s Family Questions Demise

The family of late Nick Imudia, a former chief executive of Konga – the popular e-commerce company – has raised questions about the manner of his death and the reports trailing it.

Imudia allegedly died in a widely reported case of “suicide” by plunging from a storey building in Lagos state on June 27, 2024.

His family has, however, disputed the “suicide” tag decorating his demise including claims he gave his instructions to his brother and spoke with his daughter before he allegedly took his life.

In a statement signed by Anthony Imudia, the family of deceased asserted that “the family of Nick Imudia is unhappy with the unprofessional manner the media has wrongly characterized the reporting of Nick Imudia’s death as suicide…this is also supported by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office that has vowed to investigate the sudden death of Nick.

And insisted “the thought of suicide in the manner portrayed and hastilly reported by the news media is suspect.”

Providing insight into the last chapter of the former Konga chief’s life, the family disclosed that he was resident in Nairobi, Kenya as the group chief executive officer of D.Light International  where “he managed the company’s worldwide operations” of the company with head head office in the same city.

“Nick was full of life and people that worked closely with him or met him in the last hours prior to the incident surrounding his death were shocked with the media attributing his death to ‘suicide’

“He was on a short visit to Lagos after a brief trip to the Netherlands and was to return to Nairobi a day after his sudden death.

“He comes from a close-knit family where support abounds and Nick never showed any sign of stress and he was not diagnosed as depressed at any point.” the family insisted
