SportPesa’s new millionaires

Among the winners was Paul Mwasya from Makueni County, a family man with a wife and three children, who walked away with an impressive 2,295,125 shillings by accurately predicting 12 out of 13 matches in the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot, missing out on the 25,042,835 shillings that was up for grabs.

Mwasya, currently a mechanic whose livelihood comes from car trade, expressed plans to transform his life with the newfound fortune, saying,

“I aspire to kick-start a business and build a modest home for my family.”

Other than Mwasya, thirteen others who came close to bagging the SportPesa’s all-time high Mega Jackpot that stood at KSh 349,893,489 were also crowned into the company’s fast-growing club of millionaires even as the Valentine’s cheer came alive to them.

With a total of KSh 24,058,101 paid to the new millionaires in town, the limousine ride around Nairobi, that culminated into a luncheon was a welcome to what their transformed lives with the winnings would look like.

“That was so close. I have a renewed hope that I could take home this SportPesa Mega Jackpot that now stands at over KSh 351 million. Should I be the lucky winner, I will establish a telecommunications business and a portion to the church as tithe,” remarked Pancras, who celebrated his KSh 2,079,702 win, accompanied by the fiancé.

This came months after another man missed one match to bid goodbye to over KSh 340 million that was in the offing.

KSh 10m for Kawangware man who missed one prediction

John Matata from Kawangware was on the verge of making history with the huge payout had all of his predictions on a Sportpesa weekly Mega Jackpot been correct.

He predicted 16 football matches correctly out of the total 17.

Matata, however, got comfort from his correct predictions, which earned him KSh 10 million.

The man based in Kawangware said he had strived for years to win big on Sportpesa until his recent play.

“I have been predicting since 2016 but I have not won anything considerable, I had never got a call like this. The much I have won since then is KSh 15,000,” he said.
