Hyundai on Thursday unveiled the all-electric Ioniq 5 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, U.K.
It is the first all-electric model in the carmaker’s high-performance N lineup and represents the integration of many advanced technologies accumulated to date.
According to the company, the new EV aims to be an “everyday sports car” using motorsport technologies. It takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h, the fastest among domestic cars.
The all-wheel drive car also comes with dual electric motors and high power 84 kWh battery and can be boosted up to 650 horsepower.
Hyundai chairman Chung Eui-sun, who showed up at the world premiere, has been fostering the high-performance car segment for over a decade.
