Former President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged his complete support for the success of his successor’s administration. Buhari conveyed this assurance during a phone call with President Bola Tinubu to congratulate him on his 72nd birthday.
The exchange was revealed in a concise statement on Friday by Garba Shehu, the former presidential spokesperson. Shehu added that Buhari also extended prayers for Tinubu’s good health.
Emphasizing that Buhari’s telephone conversation followed his public birthday message to Tinubu, Shehu noted that Buhari commended Tinubu for his outstanding leadership.
“In the course of the conversation, the former president said he was fully committed to the success of the APC administration under President Tinubu,” the statement reads.
