Guided by precise intelligence information, IDF troops operated in el Bureij and Deir al Balah areas of the Gaza Strip, both above and underground, the military said on Wednesday.
The military noted it first conducted aerial strikes on targets, among which were weapons storage facilities, military compounds, and underground terror infrastructure. During these activities, Hamas terrorists were killed.
In parallel, forces began operating in Bureij and eastern Deir al Balah areas to destroy terror infrastructure, positioned some kilometers from the Israeli border, both above and underground.
In Rafah, the IDF said troops continued activities, finding weapons and killing terrorists who posed a threat to the forces.
In the center of Gaza, IAF jets killed a sniper who was located near the troops. In a different incident, soldiers recognized a terror squad operating in the area, which was subsequently eliminated by an aircraft. IDF troops operate in the Gaza Strip. June 5, 2024. (credit: IDF SPOKESPERSON’S UNIT)
