Viewers of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here… were given an insight into the campmates’ given teary farewell to Grace Dent following her sudden departure from the jungle.
It comes after viewers noticed that the food critic appeared ‘unwell’, leading to producers checking on her wellbeing. ITV later confirmed that the 50-year-old would leave the show after 10 episodes on “medical grounds”.
In a statement, the broadcasting company said: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

However, the campmates didn’t find out on the show until now, resulting in a tearful farewell to Grace. Announcing the news to the contestants, campmate Nick Pickard read a statement on Grace’s behalf.
He said: “My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons. My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all.
“You’ve held me up and it’s been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent.”
Frankie shouted out loud: “Grace, we miss you” as a tearful Danielle also shouted out loud: “Love you, Grace” with Marvin adding: “Miss you, Grace.”
Nick said: “That’s really sad” as Marvin insisted: “She hasn’t let us down!”
Richard Arnold, who is on the Gold Coast reporting on I’m A Celeb said on Monday morning: “There was a lot of speculation on the Twittersphere and other social media platforms about Grace and that she didn’t look well and that her spirit seemed somewhat dampened alongside her other campmates.
“It does seem that being voted for this next trial has broken the camel’s back as it were. All we know is officially is that she has left after 10 days on the basis of medical grounds…”
He added, as he spoke via video link to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley: “It means that, of course, Josie will be facing the Down The Tubes trail but she won’t be facing it alone.
“Now that Grace has departed the camp, I can exclusively reveal that Danielle [Harold] was the third most voted for campmates to take part in tonight’s trial so it’ll be down to Danielle and Josie.”
