Tens of thousands of Iranians paid tribute Wednesday to President Ebrahim Raisi, who was killed in a helicopter crash over the weekend.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, announced five days of public mourning following confirmation of Raisi’s death. The coffins were loaded on a semitrailer Wednesday and taken through downtown Tehran.
