The Saudi Team for Science and Engineering has arrived in Saudi Arabia after winning 27 awards at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2024), reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has organized an official and popular celebration to welcome the Saudi delegation after their promising success in a competition included more than 1700 students from over 70 countries worldwide.

The brilliant Saudi students won 18 grand awards and 9 special awards at ISEF 2024, held from May 10-17, in Los Angeles, United States of America.
The celebration saw the convergence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” Sulaiman Al-Zaben and the Secretary-General of the Foundation Dr. Amal bint Abdullah Al-Hazza.

The event has brought together the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Dr. Muhammad Al-Muqbel and a massive number of government officials and private sectors stakeholders, alongside with effective sponsors and partners.

Saudi Arabia has obtained a prestigious position among the top five countries worldwide regarding the number of the participants at ISEF 2024.
The Kingdom, represented by the “Mawhiba” Foundation, has presented 18 special awards for the best participating research projects in science and technology.

12 students were awarded paid scholarships at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and 6 others obtained prestigious scholarships to join the Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program.

It is noteworthy that students nominated for ISEF 2024 have underwent intensive training by elite Saudi and foreign academic trainers before traveling to the United States of America. Representing King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), these students joined participants from 70 countries, taking part in the world’s largest and most renowned pre-college scientific research and innovation competition.
