Add Garrett Wilson to the growing list of people who hate the turf at MetLife Stadium.
Wilson had to exit the Jets’ 20-14 victory over the Eagles briefly in the second quarter and again in the fourth quarter after awkwardly twisting his leg.
It looked like his foot got caught in the turf.
It was unclear if Wilson hurt his knee or another part of his leg, but he felt good enough to return to the game.
That did not stop him from ripping the turf at MetLife.
“It’s garbage, man,” Wilson said.
The turf at MetLife has come under criticism for years.
Most recently, there were questions about whether it played a role in Aaron Rodgers’ torn Achilles tendon.
The Jets and Giants had new turf installed at MetLife before this season, but it still is not popular with the players.

“It’s tough, man,” Wilson said. “You’re out there running and all of a sudden your legs ain’t in the same place your head is at. You’re like, ‘Well what’s the difference between [practice] and now,’ and you look down and you see the turf. Everyone’s got to play on it. Everyone’s trying to do what they can with it. I’m figuring it out. I’m trying to stay healthy. I’m going to leave that there.”
Wilson said he was “all right” and he did come out for the kneel downs at the end of the game.

The Jets suffered another injury on their offensive line when rookie guard Joe Tippmann exited the game in the first half with a thigh injury.
He did not return.
Wes Schweitzer replaced him.
Coach Robert Saleh said Tippmann might be out for “a while.”
CB Michael Carter II injured his hamstring.
Saleh on Sauce Gardner being ruled out on Saturday with a concussion: “The thing with Sauce, he had the illness on Friday. We sent him home to get off his feet and take a deep breath. He came in Saturday still complaining of head pains. That’s when we put him through all the tests and realized he had a concussion. That’s when we ruled him out.”
