Kate Garraway speaks out on Dr Michael Mosley disappearance as GMB give update on search

Good Morning Britain presenters have spoken around the disappearance of Dr Michael Mosley.

The 67-year-old presenter vanished while hiking from St Nicholas Beach to Pedi Beach. His journey started around 1.30pm, and worries mounted when he did not return by 7.30pm, triggering his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, 62, to raise the alert.

Overnight, it was confirmed that drones and fire services are being utilised in the search for Dr Mosley. Greek police have assured that “more men will be coming” to assist with the search, which has already involved emergency service personnel and equipment from surrounding islands in the Aegean Sea.

Niki Kistantonis, a journalist based in Athens, told GMB: “There are fears that he might have slipped, it’s quite rugged terrain in that area, there are lots of high points, high mountain precipices that he could have slipped on. The mayor of the island is actually worried that he got swept away at sea.”

Meanwhile, presenter Kate Garraway told viewers the situation is “very worrying and sad”.

Martin Lewis, another regular face on Good Morning Britain, also expressed concern over the disappearance this week. On Thursday, he shared his feelings on X, formerly Twitter.

He told his followers: “Feeling disturbed about the news about Dr Michael Mosley. I hope he’s ok.”

While the search for Dr Mosley was halted during the previous night, police confirmed they will continue searches today. It is believed Dr Mosley vanised in the Pedi area on the northeast of the Island – a frequently visited area.

One local described his disappearance in these circumstances as “very strange”.
