Katie Price has revealed a major accomplishment to her thousands of fans.
The reality star and former glamour model has suffered a number of injuries over the years, including breaking both feet while ‘pretending to be a horse’ and jumping over a wall in 2020.
She’s been recovering her mobility since, and recently took to Instagram to share a video of her running on a treadmill, captioning the post: ‘Against all odds from life changing injuries being told I won’t run again or do a marathon this is the first time I’ve attempted to try a few steps slowly running.’
Speaking to Kathy Burke on podcast Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake, Katie previously revealed the details of the accident.
She recalled: ‘I was pretending to be a horse. I jumped over the bush, it was dark, I didn’t know there was a 20-foot drop into an underground car park.’
Price recently shared her plans to take her health more seriously and reduce the size of her breasts during an episode ofThe Katie Price Show podcast, acknowledging that her large implants made her appear larger and made it more difficult to be mobile.
She expressed her commitment to getting healthier and returning to her smaller, fitter physique, reminiscing about her past appearance and lifestyle.
She said: ‘I’ve decided I’m going to have my boobs made smaller because they do make me look bigger, yes I’ve decided to go smaller with my boobs.’
‘I have messaged the surgeon already, and to be honest I’ve been going to the gym, and yeah I’ve decided.’
The TV personality continued: ‘I even made it there last night at quarter to eight. I got in the gym, when normally I’m in bed when there’s not an event on.
‘I didn’t do much, I did the rowing, and do you know what’s funny I went on the treadmill, I can only walk on it because I can’t run.
‘I thought shall I see if I can do a couple of steps of a run, shall I see if I can do a little run? But I didn’t have to do the balls to do it because I didn’t know what would happen to my feet.’
She added: ‘I am going to go smaller with my boobs and getting healthy, back to how I used to [look],
‘I used to love being smaller, fitter, I’m eating healthy, and I think it all goes with the flow.’
Her post makes it clear she’s overcome her fear and managed to run after all, despite her foot injuries.
While Price may be aiming to improve her health, her plans for her 17th breast augmentation have raised safety concerns among medical professionals.
The reality TV star and former glamour model is known for her numerous cosmetic procedures but is facing criticism over the potential risks of her latest surgery from a top plastic surgeon.
Dr Mark Solomos, a well-known figure in the field who has appeared on television shows such as Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger and ITV’s Price of Perfection, expressed his worries about the potentially gruesome consequences of Price’s continued procedures.
Dr Solomos shared his concerns after Price announced that she’ll be going back under the knife – this time to reduce the size of her 2120 CC augmented breasts she had done in 2022. At the time, she confirmed her breasts were the largest they have ever been.
He told MailOnline how the former glamour model and mother of five could be left with infection, torn skin, unusual sagging, and even the blood supply to her breasts being disturbed if she continues to have surgeries on the area.
‘In my opinion, Katie has an addiction to cosmetic and plastic surgery, and this could be dangerous,’ Dr. Solomos remarked, emphasizing the disproportionate size of Price’s implants and their unnatural appearance.
‘It’s not that I’m addicted, but I think it’s there to do, so why not?’ Katie previously told Lucy Kennedy on her Living With Lucy show when chatting about plans for boob job number 17.
Solomos suggested that Price’s surgeries might be driven by her desire to maintain a specific image associated with her brand and publicity.
Discussing the risks associated with multiple breast surgeries, especially ones involving significant size increases, Dr. Solomos explained the potential complications, such as tissue stretching, implant exposure, and muscle damage.
He expressed his reluctance to further increase Price’s implant size if he were her doctor, advocating for a reduction in size and a commitment to ending further operations.
‘I would probably agree to operate to make her smaller, and that would likely require a lifting procedure, but that is only if she promised that would be the end of the ops,’ Dr. Solomos stated, recommending a size no larger than a D-DD for Price’s frame.
He also raised concerns about the standards of surgery abroad, suggesting that some surgeons might prioritize short-term financial gain over long-term patient well-being.
The decision to undergo her latest breast augmentation sparked controversy at the time, with sources telling The Sun that Price had an ambition to have the largest breasts in the country.
This ambition had even led to an incident where she was reportedly removed from a rollercoaster due to her breasts being too large.
Whether Price decides to risk going through with her 17th boob job and reduce the size of her breasts or not, her post makes it clear shes making her health a priority.
