A man armed with a knife has been shot dead by police after fatally stabbing one person and wounding at least one other in the French city of Bordeaux, local media reported.
Police do not initially think the attack was terrorism-related, BFM TV reported, citing police sources.
France is on its highest state of security alert less than four months ahead of the Olympic Games.
