Police sent out a media release outlining the charges against Naveed Irshad on Wednesday. It did not provide a middle name for the man.

While the release did not name the business, it later specified that it “offers entertainment services, primarily, to children.”

The two girls first met the “suspect” when they went to the business, it said.

“The youths told police that the assault took place in the backroom of the business and that the employee had been calling and texting them for several weeks prior.”

Irshad has been charged with two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault.

This, police state, is the “result of an investigation by the Regina Children’s Justice Centre, a specialized integrated unit of the police service that combines police investigators with social workers to investigate allegations of child abuse.”

Irshad was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on the matters in February.
