A Corporate Area man admitted to kicking and punching his child’s mother after she refused to get their child dressed to attend the hospital.
“It’s not like how it sounds Your Honour, me just tump her,” admitted Raheema Bailey. He pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Tuesday in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court before Parish Judge Carlo Mason. It was shared that an argument developed between Bailey and the complainant after he told her to get their nine-month-old daughter ready for the doctor. However, when Bailey returned and saw the child was not clothed, he punched the complainant in her face then kicked her to the ground.
“Really? He’s a bad man? Is that how you deal with the mother of your child Sir? I think you guys need counselling,” expressed Mason.
The matter was referred to mediation and is to return to court on June 26 for mention.
