Manila continues face-to-face classes

The city government of Manila announced that there will be no suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels in public schools on Monday, October 16 despite the transport strike.

On the other hand, private schools have the discretion whether or not to cancel classes.

The city will provide free transportation in certain routes for affected passengers.

It said 20 e-tricycles, three SUV from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, two transporters and 16 patrol vehicles from the Manila Police District are ready for deployment to help stranded passengers in the city.

The Manila Public Information Office said most of the transport groups continue to operate on Monday based on the monitoring of Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau.
