The caretaker government has raised the prices of petrol and diesel once again, with petrol now costing Rs331.38 per litre and diesel at Rs329.18 per litre. This marks an increase of Rs26.02 per litre for petrol and Rs17.34 per litre for high-speed diesel (HSD).
These new prices will come into effect on September 16, 2023. It’s important to note that this is the fourth consecutive increase in petroleum product prices, and it has collectively raised their rates by over 30% since July 31.
