THE government on Monday called on media to expose and push back against China’s “twisted and baseless narratives” about the West Philippine Sea (WPS), particularly its insistence that the two sides had reached a “gentleman’s agreement” on how to deal with Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal.
The National Security Council (NSC) on Monday accused China of controlling the information space with its “twisted and baseless narratives” about the West Philippine Sea, particularly the alleged “gentleman’s agreement” supposedly entered into between the previous administration and the Chinese government.
