Meghan Markle’s social media return discussed by expert

Meghan Markle sported both high street and high-end looks at the Invictus Games this week– wearing clothes and jewelry worth a whopping £282,500 ($350,000) over the course of six days.

The Duchess of Sussex is renowned for her love of designer brands, costly accessories and sparkling jewels worth thousands of dollars.

But Meghan is not just all about the big brand names, although she was seen wearing the likes of Givenchy, Chanel and Hermes this week to name a few.

She also showcased more toned-down outfits that may have taken some of her more observant fans by surprise.

The former actress wore affordable attire from high street retailers like Zara, Banana Republic and J Crew.

The Duchess appeared to pick out mid-range clothes from her closet from designers like Ralph Lauren and Toteme too.

By far the most expensive aspect of her closet she wore in the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, was her jewellery.

A $22,000 lavish Cartier watch that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, was seen on her wrist.

Meghan also wore a $62,000 Lorraine Schwartz pinky ring fitted with “diamonds gifted from the Middle East”.

A Shiffon and Co 1972 tennis pinky ring worth around $2,800 was also worn by the Duchess this week.

In total, the entire cost of Meghan’s outfits on all six days of the Invictus Games amounted to nearly $350,000.

On Tuesday alone, her outfit total was a staggering $330,000, according to the Mailonline.

Making up the bulk of the outfit’s cost that day was a Welsh Gold Wedding Band, Diamond Eternity Band worth around $170,000, a Lorraine Schwartz Emerald Cut Diamond Pinky Ring and Princess Diana’s watch.

Meghan also stunned crowds that day by wearing a black dress by Banana Republic, priced at just $70 down from $140. This works at around £56, an absolute steal.

The cheapest items Meghan appeared to wear were a humble pair of Scout Curated earrings worth just $21.

Her fans flocked to social media to praise the variety of the outfits she showcased at the six-day sporting event this week.

On Instagram, @ducktricia wrote: “Her casual game remains great!”.
