A fed up young mum has publicly shamed the shirtless thief who stole her Christmas presents from her doorstep after giving him 24 hours to return the parcels.

Melbourne mum Jasmine Yoong had left five parcels on her doorstep for a postman to deliver to loved ones ahead of Christmas.

But after rewatching her CCTV from Wednesday evening she saw the gifts had been stolen by a shirtless man in black shorts who then fled the scene in a white Mazda 3.

Ms Yoong shared a TikTok asking for the man to come forward and promised not to reveal the footage if he returned her parcels within 24 hours.

‘I’m not gonna show your face yet, I’m not even gonna share the number plate of the car … I haven’t filed a police report yet,’ Ms Yoong said.

‘I’m giving you 24 hours to return these parcels. I’m not even p***ed off because of like “Oh no I lost the money” like yeah that’s annoying but do you know how long it took me to handwrite every single note? I had to do 40 of these.

‘I have your car number plate, I have your face, I can file a police report – I’m not going to do that.

‘All I want is my five parcels back, even if you ripped open the bag that’s fine just give me back the boxes. The items aren’t even crazy, they’re just Christmas gifts I was sending out to people.’

The video quickly gained attention online with the mother-of-three even having TV reporters rocking up to her door.

A worker at a nearby McDonald’s then reached out to Ms Yoong and told her the same man had been ‘causing a ruckus’ in the fast food restaurant just hours before stealing her packages.

‘Sometimes all you need is a wakeup call. Genuinely it’s not even about the parcels, I’m just trying to teach you to do the right thing,’ she said.

After the 24 hours were up with nobody coming forward, Ms Yoong followed up on her promise and shared the footage of the thief.

The CCTV showed the man calmly walk up to her front porch before he picked up the five parcels.

He then quickly ran to the waiting Mazda 3 which Ms Yoong said had two women inside.

The man then struggled to get all five parcels inside the car before the vehicle drove off with the back door still half open.

‘I was genuinely hoping he’d bring back my parcels so I wouldn’t have to file a police report, I wouldn’t have to share this footage,’ Ms Yoong said after sharing the video on Friday.

Ms Yoong said she has since filed a police report.
