“I just wanted my potatoes to be international,” Ava Louise wrote in an Instagram video post.

“I just got the portal from New York City to Dublin shut down,” she says in the video shared with her 417,000 followers. “I thought the people of Dublin deserved to see two New York, homegrown potatoes,” she adds, as her clip shows Louise flashing people in Dublin through a live video link.

Louise also included a clip of her boyfriend speaking to an alleged security guard, who said to him it’s “unfortunate that people are not acting in the best way” with how the the Portal was being used.

After it opened last week, the Portal was shut down Monday night after videos spread on social media of people behaving badly. In addition to Louise flashing her breasts to Dubliners, others held up swastikas and displayed images of New York’s Twin Towers burning on 9/11.

Louise’s viral post generated hundreds of comments on Instagram, with one follower writing, “Hate all you want, her OnlyFans is about to go crazy,” to which she replied, “It’s going nuts.”

But a vast number of commenters chastised her for her role in getting the Portal shut down.

“Imagine being proud of this. I feel sorry for your parents!” one person wrote with another asking, “Why you gotta ruin it for everyone?”

In 2019, Louise appeared on Dr. Phil and told the talk-show host how being famous was all she craved.

HOT FLUSH: Toilet-licking influencer wants to sell video as $42K NFT

People wave and take pictures while looking at a livestreamed view in Dublin, Ireland, as part of an art installation on the street in New York, Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Sidewalk ‘Portal’ linking New York, Dublin by livestream paused after lewd antics

“A skinny legend is someone who is hot and skinny. Like, when you’re skinny and pretty, you get so much more in life,” Louise said on the show (per the New York Post). “Like, I have been ugly and I have been hot and I choose hot every single time.”

Louise, who said she chewed diet pills like they were “Tic Tacs,” went on to add that she would rather die young and good-looking than old and ugly.

“I mean, I’d rather die hot than live ugly, so if this is going to take 10 years off my life, I don’t care,” she said. “I don’t want to be old anyway. Old people are ugly.”

She also went viral during at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic for posting videos of herself licking a toilet seat on an airplane.

“I licked the toilet for clout, selfish reasons to promote my music,” the social-media star explained to the Daily Mail. “It really was just a scheme for clicks and views, which worked.”

Dr. Phil slammed Louise’s publicity stunt, calling her “spoiled and entitled.”

Louise later tried to sell a video of her antics as a $42,000 NFT.

“Though wrong of me to make fun of a global pandemic, I gained a lot from the stunt,” she admitted. “I was not shocked by the reaction. I was pretty calculated in doing the stunt. I knew that if I licked a toilet seat and created it into a challenge, America would be shocked.”

She was selling the video as a way to make amends, she said.

“Considering this video broke the internet and the stunt is still talked about to this day, I think that owning this one-of-a-kind pandemic meme piece of history is a unique opportunity,” she said.

“I see this as a chance to right my wrongdoings done when I decided to mock the pandemic in this video.”

Before it was shut down, the livestreaming public art installation known as the Portal made its North American debut on May 8, with a circular screen set up below New York City’s iconic Flatiron Building and a companion screen on Dublin’s main thoroughfare, O’Connell St., with city landmarks including the Spire in the backdrop.

“Portals are an invitation to meet people above borders and differences and to experience our world as it really is — united and one,” said Benediktas Gylys, the Lithuanian artist who conceived of the installation, when the screens were unveiled to fanfare.

But Louise, who was also featured in the documentary Anything For Fame, will likely use her notoriety for helping get the Portal cancelled to her own benefit once again.

“To me, when you show shame or embarrassment, you’re weak,” Louise said.
