A 40-year-old man is dead after the motorcycle he was driving slammed into the side of an Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus on Wednesday, say police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to the crash near 106 Avenue and 79 Street around 3:30 p.m., police said in a Wednesday night news release.

Investigators believe the ETS bus was turning onto 79 Street westbound when the motorcycle driver, travelling at a high rate of speed heading eastbound, struck the right side of the bus.
Roads in the area of 106 Avenue between 78 Street and 80 Street were closed for several hours as officers investigated.
