The Africa-Cuba solidarity conference is under way at White River, Mpumalanga.

The ANC has continued its efforts to focus on international crises as it called on the United States to immediately end its occupation of Guantanamo Bay in the Caribbean.
The calls, made at the 7th Africa-Cuba solidarity conference in White River, Mpumalanga, come after the ANC also used its 112th-anniversary celebrations to demonstrate its support for Palestine, calling for an immediate ceasefire.
The ANC has been vocal in its support for Palestine and the move to take Israel to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
