Some Diepsloot residents called for the permanent deployment of Amaberethe.

Diepsloot residents have concurred with Gauteng police leadership that the long-term deployment of the Tactical Response Teams (TRT), popularly known as Amaberethe, would reduce crime but only if they are actually dedicated.
On Tuesday, Gauteng police commissioner, Lieutenant General Mawela, addressed the Gauteng legislature.
He said Diepsloot remains a priority for the government.
