The Western Cape High Court, where a former fisheries official wants her prosecution for not reporting fraud scrapped.

A former high-ranking fisheries department official brought an urgent application to the Western Cape High Court to stop the State from prosecuting her for not reporting fraud she was aware of to the police.
Former deputy director-general of the Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) Siphokazi Ndudane appeared in the Bellville Regional Court in August on charges of not reporting two instances of alleged tender fraud to the police after they became known to her.
Ndudane is not being prosecuted for fraud – just the alleged failure to report alleged fraud she was aware of to the police for further investigation.
