More than 200 pensioners have petitioned the City of Johannesburg to speed up pensioner rebate applications.
According to Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck, the city was not processing the applications fast enough or backdating the rebates awarded.
“This is causing much confusion and hardship for our pensioners,” he said.
