News24 | State to oppose bail for AKA, Tibz murder accused

The State intends to oppose bail for the men accused of the murder of well-known rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

They were gunned down outside the now-defunct Wish on Florida restaurant in Durban in February last year.

Five of the seven men charged with the double murder appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Senior State advocate Lawrence Gcaba said Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, 30; Lindani Ndimande, 35; Siyanda Myeza, 21; Mziwethemba Gwabeni, 36; and Lindokuhle Ndimande, 29, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder as well as the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

Gcaba informed the court that the two others were arrested in Eswatini over the weekend.

“We are in the process of having them extradited back to this country,” he added.
