Taking to Instagram, Ntukza shared a heartfelt post dedicated to DJ Dimplez, reminiscing about their shared experiences and the impact Dimplez had on his life and career. The post serves as a poignant reminder of the profound influence Dimplez had on those around him.
“You never forgot me, you always went out of your way to find me from whatever rock I hid under. Yo Ntukza let’s hit the club I’m playing somewhere. I’d be sitting behind your DJ booth sipping on Hennessy no one noticing I’m even there. How can I forget you, King,” Ntukza wrote.
Ntukza’s heartfelt message captures the profound sorrow that echoed through the music community when DJ Dimplez passed away on 6 March 2022. The famed hip-hop DJ was confirmed dead by the family after he suffered “a sudden brain haemorrhage.”
Dimplez left an indelible mark on South African Hip Hop culture through his impactful songs, including “Way Up” with Cassper Nyovest, “Vacation” featuring Anatii & Da LES, and his standout feature on Riky Rick’s “Amantombazane” remix, showcasing his immense creative talent in music production. In 2019, the renowned DJ dropped the album “Kubu,” collaborating with heavyweight rappers in the industry, further solidifying his influence and contribution to the genre.
