Motorists are being that the National Works Agency [NWA] will be carrying out road rehabilitation works by in sections of St. Andrew, St. Ann and Portland starting this weekend.
The NWA says routine maintenance work will begin along Winchester Avenue in St. Andrew on Saturday, resulting in the temporary closure of the road from 9:00 a.m., until 5:00 p.m., on Sunday.
The maintenance work, which includes milling of the existing road surface and asphaltic concrete overlay, will be carried out over a six week period.
Similar works are expected along Development Road in St. Ann, starting today (Saturday). Work will be carried out from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Motorists are being advised to expect delays during the two-week period of scheduled maintenance.
In Portland, drainage improvement works are scheduled to begin Sunday along the road from Churchill Corner to Muir Park, from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 pm.
Motorists may experience delays during the period of works and are being advised to obey posted warning signs and follow the instructions of flagpersons who will be directing traffic in all affected areas.
