Working in occupied Belgium during the First World War, Edith saved the lives of hundreds of soldiers from both sides and helped around 200 Allied soldiers to escape.

Former Sex Pistol Sid Vicious was arrested on suspicion of murdering his heroin-addict girlfriend Nancy Spungen at New York’s Chelsea Hotel.
Vicious pleaded not guilty and was released on bail.
He died from a drug overdose three months later.
