The Our Place Always Pan might as well have been the poster child for the direct to consumer cookware boom. This pan has everything you could market to a Millennial/Gen Z-er: pastel color ways, a ceramic nonstick coating, and a promise of versatility that could inspire a whole minimalist lifestyle. The flagship dusky pink pan followed all of us around Instagram, and then YouTube, and then the entire internet—it felt almost like a parody of internet marketing in the 2020s.
Since then, though, Our Place has branched out, to a Dutch oven-style pan called the Perfect Pot, and a cast-iron Always Pan, and full cookware sets. Most recently, they’ve made a couple of bold forays into the world of appliances, with a countertop air fryer/oven called the Wonder Oven that looks like an Easy Bake Oven for the TikTok generation. They also came out with a take on the Instant Pot called the Dream Cooker. We’ve got staffers testing these new appliances now, and have some early intel that they perform very well—even if they look like adorable toys. Our Place has always also always done a great job with affordable-but-stylish servingware: We love their drinking glasses, especially.
