Parks in Northern Border Region Witness Huge Influx of Visitors
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The parks and natural gardens in the Northern Border region are witnessing a significant influx of visitors at the start of the school break this year. The visitors are enjoying the mild spring weather and spending enjoyable time, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The SPA lens captured several parks and tracks frequented by some residents of Arar city, including the Al-Musaediyah track, King Salman Road track, Al Mansouriyah district track, Flower Park, and Al-Jawhara tracks. These all provide service and recreational facilities.

Many visitors explained that these days are an opportunity for family outings, practicing various sports like walking and running. They are perfect for enjoying playgrounds, activities, and entertainment events.

Al Baha’s Parks

The parks in the Al Baha region are witnessing a significant influx of locals and visitors as the school vacation starts. Visitors aim to enjoy the spring weather and spend time with family and friends amidst nature. Others seize the good weather to walk and cycle, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Al Baha region’s municipality has ramped its field efforts to prepare the parks for the extended school holiday. It anticipated a notable presence of residents and visitors, especially with the mild weather. The municipality’s efforts include maintaining, cleaning public facilities and intensifying regulatory activities.

Moreover, it worked on improving the quality of services provided to residents and visitors during their stay in the Al-Baha region and its governorates.

Since last November, Al Bahah started preparing to receive visitors from inside and outside the courtyard during winter.

The region is known for its warm weather, reinforced by recent rains that have greened the land and filled valleys.

Al Bahah Region

Al Baha is linked to Tihami via a network including the 45 km King Fahd Road to Makhwah with 25 tunnels.

Other key roads are King Khalid’s steep Al Mandq-Qalwah road, and connections between Al Hajrah, Beljurashi, and Makhwah.

Tihami features tourist and heritage sites, such as Dhi Ain village with 58 historic houses, perennial springs, banana, qat farms, and the historic Al Khalaf and Al Khalif villages in Qalwah.

There are also the Shada Mountains, known for their ancient caves and rock formations, and coffee plantations.

Parks, Gardens,  Markets

The Tihami governorates of Makhwah, Qalwah, Al Hajrah, and Ghamid Al Zinad host numerous parks, public gardens, and old markets, such as the historic Makhwah market with various products and displays.

The area is also famous for its traditional restaurants offering popular local cuisine.
