MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Consul General to Frankfurt Marie Yvette Banzon-Abalos will visit the Drupa trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, as part of an event organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The diplomat thanked Comelec commissioner Rey Bulay for extending the invitation for the Miru-Comelec Day at the Drupa 2024 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center on June 3.
“We would like to confirm the presence and attendance of the Consul General of the Philippines in Frankfurt am Main, Marie Yvette Banzon-Abalos, on the 3rd of June in the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center,” a note from the consulate read.
For the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE), the Comelec partnered with South Korea-based Miru Systems, after signing a P17.9 billion contract for their joint venture.
However, on Monday, the Supreme Court directed the two to file comments on a petition filed by former representative Edgar Erice, who sought the issuance of a temporary restraining order against the joint venture.
