A picturesque pub has received a new high rating for food hygiene.
The Vine Inn on Abingdon Road in Cumnor was handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating after an assessment on June 21, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Scoring a four on a food hygiene assessment means the business’s standards are deemed ‘good’.

The pub’s website describes it as “an 18th century traditional village pub, serving modern and classic British pub food”.
It has a large beer garden, making it a popular summertime venue for families and walkers as it also supplies treats for dogs.
Customers on the online review website TripAdvisor praise its “lovely setting”, “great pub garden” and “spectacular Sunday roast beef”.
It means that of the Vale of White Horse’s 113 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 70 (62 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
