There’s a rumor about a new PlayStation 5 Pro with better cooling technology.
According to Zuby_Tech on Twitter, it might have a smaller, more efficient processor (5nm instead of 7nm), making it use less energy and generate less heat.
This new model, possibly named CFI-1300, is an upgrade from the current CFI-1200 PS5. Unlike the regular PS5, the Pro version won’t use liquid metal in its cooling but is expected to “run cooler.”
It’s rumored to launch in November 2024.
In other news, Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai has announced three new games for the China Hero Project.
One is called The Winds Rising, an action RPG with a girl from a peaceful village discovering a lost monster cub, impacting the fate of the kingdom.
The game promises a great story, smooth combat, and an ever-changing adventure. The God Slayer by Pathea Games and Daba Land of the Watermarks by DarkStar Games are also part of this project.
A showcase for Daba Land of the Watermarks is set for July 30th.
