Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up a historic State visit to the United States of America. From leading the world at the UN in New York City on International Yoga Day, to addressing a joint sitting of US Congress in Washington DC, PM Modi and US President Joe Biden struck crucial deals for the benefit of both nations and the latter hosted the Indian PM at the White House for a State dinner.

“We have seen a transformation in India-US ties”: Blinken at USISPF event in Washington DC
Speaking at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum event at the Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts in Washington DC, US Secretary of State said, “We have seen a transformation in India-US ties.”
Highlighting the relationship between India and the US, Blinked said that the India-US partnership was “closer, broader and dynamic” than ever.
Talking about trade and job creation, Blinken said, “Together we’re facilitating better trade and supporting more than one million jobs and building regional hubs.”
“We are also diversifying our supply chains with the largest ever investment in the battery industry.” continued Blinken.
Focusing on people, Blinken added, that both the countries were “Opening more consulates so that they can travel. Openings for women so that they have equal opportunities.”
Concluding, he urged the people to continue “doing your work”.
“CONTINUE TO BE THAT ENGINE TO POWER”
“US and India will shape togethter in a more peaceful, more prosperous and more connected in the future,” Blinken concluded.

A look at the last time PM Modi addressed the Indian diaspora on US soil
On the final day of the historic US Visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the Indian diaspora in a 2-hour long mega event. The Friday event is hosted by the United States Indian Community Foundation (USICF) and will take place at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. While there is a strict limit on the number of guests at the event, this has brought back memories of the massive ‘Howdy Modi’ event where 50,000 people of Indian origin gathered in Houston in 2019.

‘We’re very much looking forward for visit of PM Modi:’ India’s Ambassador to Egypt
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Egypt, India’s Ambassador to Egypt Ajit Gupte, told PTI that the country is “very much looking forward for visit of PM Modi.”
“The visit is a very historic occasion because the last bilateral visit by an Indian PM was far back in back 1997,” Gupte reportedly said.
“PM Modi will be visiting the Heliopolis War Memorial, which has been erected in memory of 3,799 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives in various battles in Egypt,” he added.
