PM Narendra Modi is set to meet more than a dozen thought leaders including Nobel laureates, economists, artists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs, health experts and academicians.
Tesla and Twitter owner Elon Musk, astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson, Nobel laureate economist Paul Romer, author Nicholas Nassim Taleb and investor Ray Dalio feature on the list of people whom PM Modi will meet on Tuesday on his first state visit to the US.
Officials said other prominent personalities are Falu Shah, Jeff Smith, Michael Froman, Daniel Russel, Elbridge Colby, Peter Agre, Stephen Klasko and Chandrika Tandon.
The Prime Minister often meets thought leaders in the countries he visits to enrich people-to-people connect, they said.
There will be talks to achieve better synergy, understand the developments in the US and invite people to collaborate with India among other topics on the agenda, officials said.

PM Modi will be in New York to celebrate the International Day of Yoga with the UN leadership at the United Nations Headquarters.
PM Narendra Modi’s state visit to the US is scheduled from June 21 to June 24. A state visit is considered the highest expression of a friendly bilateral relationship. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host PM Modi at a state dinner on June 22. He will also address the joint session of the US Congress on the same day.
