Authorities have cordoned off a Perth street amid an investigation into the death of a woman in the city’s northeast.
Four ambulances and police were among the emergency services called to Birkett St in Bedford about 5pm Monday.

On arrival, they located the body of a woman, a WA Police spokesperson said.
A man has been taken into custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
A section of the road has been taped off, limiting movement in the area, and officials have maintained a heavy presence at the property.
Despite this, police say there is “no ongoing risk to the broader community”.
“The investigation into the death of the woman is ongoing,” WA Police said.
