Princess Kate and Prince William enjoyed South Park’s brutal satire of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to leaks from a new bombshell book.
The Prince and Princess of Wales thought the animated satire of the Sussexes was “hilarious”, passages from Omid Scobie’s work, Endgame, leaked to The Sun reveal.
Harry and Meghan were mercilessly mocked in an episode of the US series entitled The Worldwide Privacy Tour where a fictional Prince and Princess of Canada demand people stop looking at them while courting publicity all the while.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t mentioned by name in the show, but the creators make a series of thinly-veiled references to them.
Meghan and Harry denied claims they had been upset by the episode of South Park, whose creators also mocked Prince William and Princess Kate after their wedding in 2011.

Scobie’s book, which hits the shelves on Tuesday, makes a series of claims about the Royal Family and asserts the future of the monarchy is “in a crisis”.
In an interview with The Times to plug the work, Scobie said: “That crisis being a lack of interest from young people, an apathy, a growing republican movement, questions over whether the family still uphold the morals and values of the crown that the Queen did such a great job of.”
Among the other claims made in the book are that there is a rift between King Charles and the Prince of Wales; that Queen Camilla has “quietly thanked” Piers Morgan for “defending the Firm” and that a timid Princess Kate has to be encouraged to perform royal engagements.
The Times also alleges William ignored texts from Harry when family members were making their way to Balmoral before the Queen Elizabeth II died last year.

Charles and Meghan also reportedly exchanged letters in the wake of the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
The alleged letters are said to reveal the identity of two people the Duchess claimed in the TV interview had aired “concerns” about the colour of then-unborn Prince Archie’s skin.
Endgame also claims Meghan sends King Charles photos of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and that she and Harry recorded a video of them singing Happy Birthday to their grandfather.
Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the extracts from Scobie’s book.
Scobie himself has warned royal fans to wait until his book is published, claiming leaked translations of the work are inaccurate.

The author, who has been dubbed “Meghan’s mouthpiece”, said he would rather people waited and read Endgame when it comes out, adding he had become “frustrated” by media reports of the book’s contents.
He has also said he did not interview the Duchess of Sussex for the book, but shares mutual friends with her, which helped him source details.
Scobie told The Times: “I have mutual friends with (Meghan), and that definitely helps with getting information and breaking details.”
He also told the newspaper of the abuse he receives from social media trolls, saying: “I’ve really struggled with it, to be honest. I definitely felt at times like I wanted to just disappear.”
