Quenton Nelson betrayed his Knicks fandom with a bold Pacers prediction after seeing Tyrese Haliburton wear his Colts jersey

If Quenton Nelson was conflicted about which team to support in the second-round NBA playoff series between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton just made his decision a lot easier.

Nelson, a New Jersey native, wrote on Instagram Sunday he’s been a Knicks fan since the Nets relocated to Brooklyn in 2012. But as a six-year pro for the Indianapolis Colts — where he’s played his entire NFL career — you can see why his allegiances might’ve been split ahead of New York and Indiana’s clash.

But after Haliburton said he’s been watching Nelson film to prepare for the series, then showed up for the Pacers’ team flight in Nelson’s jersey, the three-time all-pro guard not only jumped completely on the side of the Pacers, he made a very specific prediction against his Knicks.

“Pacers in 6,” Nelson wrote on his Instagram story.

It’s not just specific, it’s bold. BetMGM has New York as a -250 favorite in the series, and oddsmakers like it to happen in five games, with +280 odds on a 4-1 win for the Knicks. A 4-2 Pacers win holds +650 odds.
