Radisson Hotel Group is opening the Radisson RED hotel in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. Located in the historic Kaisaniemi Park, the hotel offers a contemporary blend of art and modern design.
Nestled in the heart of the city, the Radisson RED Helsinki is within walking distance of Helsinki’s architectural landmarks, such as Helsinki Central Station and the Oodi Central Library. With eight floors of contemporary design, the hotel has 195 rooms and suites.
Art takes centre stage at the Radisson RED Helsinki. A large red work of art adorns the lobby, inspired by the monumental ‘lantern holders’ at Helsinki railway station, a tribute to the city’s heritage. Suspended from the hotel’s ceiling, the 24-metre-high mobile creation “Gust of Wind” by Finnish artist Jenni Rope brings the lush atmosphere of the park into the heart of the hotel.
The ground floor of the hotel houses the RED Bar and Kitchen. Next to the restaurant is a bar with a summer terrace offering panoramic views of Kaisaniemi Park. The RED Bar & Kitchen regularly hosts local DJs and artists and can be booked for private parties.
The Radisson RED Helsinki presents the RED Guide. This is a comprehensive handbook highlighting Helsinki’s hidden treasures and local gems, developed in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and its residents. This guide allows visitors to discover other experiences beyond the usual tourist spots, by immersing themselves in Helsinki’s local culture. The first selection of featured locations will be unveiled at the grand opening celebration of the Radisson RED Helsinki in January 2024.
