Chart-topping sushi chain announces plans for Memphis and Tri-States with entrepreneur Spencer Burgon
Tampa, FL (RestaurantNews.com) Rock N Roll Sushi, the award-winning restaurant chain known for rocking its guests with its fresh, high-quality sushi and vibrant atmosphere, is excited to announce its expansion plans in Memphis and the Tri-State area. The company has partnered with seasoned restaurant entrepreneur Spencer Burgon to develop multiple locations in the region.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Spencer to the Rock N Roll Sushi family,” said Chris Kramolis, Chief Development Officer for Rock N Roll Sushi. “His extensive experience in the restaurant industry and deep understanding of the Memphis market make him the perfect partner to bring our unique brand of sushi to the Mid-South.”
Burgon is a lifelong Southerner with a passion for food and hospitality. He has worked in the restaurant industry since he was 16 years old and has held a variety of positions, from dishwasher to host to general manager. In addition to his work experience in the restaurant industry, Burgon is also a successful entrepreneur, co-owning Rise Biscuits Donuts and Righteous Chicken with locations in Germantown and Nashville.
“In the restaurant industry, a lot of people think the product is the food,” Burgon said. “While that’s true to an extent, I’ve always considered the product the experience. Food, service and the vibe rely on each other to create the experience. Every time I ate at Rock N Roll Sushi in the Nashville area, I loved the fact that it always stood on all three elements. The servers fed off of that, and I could tell they had a great time working there. It was a no-brainer for me to get involved.”
Rock N Roll Sushi is known for its innovative and delicious sushi rolls, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The restaurant also offers a variety of other Japanese-inspired dishes, as well as a full bar and lounge. The company is currently looking for franchise partners to develop additional regional locations.
The Memphis-area Rock N Roll Sushi locations were recently renovated and will now be operated by Burgon. The design of the Memphis location really stands out and is as “Rock N Roll” as patrons could possibly want. From the top-to-bottom neon design to the 150-inch screen showing old-school rock videos, it’s pretty hard to look anywhere and not see an electric guitar.
At Rock N Roll Sushi, fans enjoy deliciously twisted food made fresh for everyone. Boasting concepts and flavors that are big, bold and loud, Rock N Roll Sushi is the only place to experience the rock and rolls guests love with the ones they love! Everything about the American-style sushi restaurant, from its soundtrack to its soul, is pure rock ‘n’ roll – raw, inspired, amplified. About Rock N Roll Sushi
Founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark in Mobile, Alabama, Rock N Roll Sushi is the original American-style sushi restaurant founded on great food, true love and rock n’ roll music. It’s the only theme-restaurant in the world where local and loyal fans can experience the rock they love and the rolls they love with the ones they love. The menu is broken down by Opening Acts, Classics, Green Room, Headliners (with Raw Tracks), Back Stage Hibachi, Kids Rock and After Party, with Rock N Roll Sushi’s greatest hits – like Crispy Wontons, Punk Rock Roll, VIP Roll and Hibachi – stealing the show. From humble beginnings in a modest 1000-square-foot space tucked inside the Mobile Mall, Rock N Roll Sushi has rapidly expanded to encompass more than 50 locations across the Southeastern U.S. in just a decade.
