C.J. Reavis re-signs for two years

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed three CFL veterans to contracts, including returning defensive back/linebacker C.J. Reavis, who agreed to a two-year contract extension.
The other signees were defensive lineman Tre’ Crawford, 27, and offensive lineman Noah Zerr, a 25-year-old from Langenberg. Reavis and Crawford are Americans.

Reavis. 28, became Saskatchewan’s starting strong-side linebacker last season after recovering from a torn Achilles tendon in 2022. He also played safety. In 17 games Reavis, 6-foot-0 and 198 pounds, made 59 defensive tackles (including five for losses), three sacks, one interception, one pass knockdown, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. A product of Virginia Tech, Reavis played for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018 and later joined the Atlanta Falcons.

Crawford, 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, played 12 games last season for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He made 18 defensive tackles and one on special teams, had four sacks and one forced fumble. Undrafted out of the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Crawford signed with the Falcons and Denver Broncos before joining the Ticats in 2022.
Zerr, 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, played primarily at left tackle through 41 games at the University of Saskatchewan before being selected 12th overall in the 2022 CFL draft by the B.C. Lions. A USports first-team all-star when the Huskies won the 2021 Vanier Cup, Zerr played four games with B.C. as a rookie and dressed for three games last season with the Tiger-Cats.
