A “bang” struck a piece of railroad close to Nizhny Tagil in the Russian Urals, according to reports from the transport prosecutor’s office that were carried out by the news agencies TASS and RBC on Monday.
The word “bang” is widely used in Russian mainstream media as a euphemism for a detonation.
According to Baza, a Russian media organization that has access to security sources, the train explosion happened close to the San-Donato station, which is next to an oil warehouse.
The detonation of explosives on a Russian railway line deep in Siberia by Ukraine’s internal spy agency was reported by the media last month. This was the second attack on military supply routes in the region in a week.
The latest incident did not result in any injuries or damage, according to reports from Russian news outlets on Monday.
According to RBC, which cited the Russian Railways, there was “restricted” traffic in the area, and some trains might be delayed.
