Saskatoon weather: Groundhogs predict an early spring ahead of another warm weekend

The weekend is expected to be warm and sunny, with possible rain on Sunday ahead of a return to below-zero temperatures later next week.

A look at Friday’s Saskatoon weather by Environment Canada.

It’s -1 C at Saskatoon Diefenbaker International Airport this morning, with 12 km winds coming out of the southeast and a wind chill making it feel like -4.

With groundhogs across the country predicting an early spring, is this week and the coming warm weekend a sign that winter is, in fact, coming to an end in February?
