The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced electronic visas for Umrah to make it easier for more Muslims to come to Saudi Arabia and perform the pilgrimage. This initiative is in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to improve the quality of Umrah services and attract more visitors to the Kingdom.
The Nusuk platform helps Muslims from around the world with their arrival procedures, accommodation options, transportation services, and provides them with helpful information and interactive maps in multiple languages for their convenience.
Previously, the Ministry announced that individuals holding tourist visas from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Schengen visas can now book Umrah appointments through the Nusk application.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also facilitates procedures for individuals with various types of visas.
As part of the new legislation, the Ministry has reduced insurance fees for Umrah pilgrims by 63% while ensuring the availability of healthcare services. They have also introduced faster processing of Umrah visas, issuing them within 24 hours, and extended the duration of the Umrah visa from 30 days to 90 days, with no health requirements.
